THREE-PENNY OPERA
For final year minor project I had a choice between three plays and chose the Three-Penny Opera by Bertolt Brecht. Written in 1928, the play is originally set in Victorian London. I reimagined the plays setting in the 1930s and chose to design and make a costume for the main character Polly Peachum in Act 1 Scene 2. I took inspiration from various 'starlets' in the 1930s such as Judy Garland. The gallery below displays mood boards and designs for this costume.
