My final year Major Project is the design and making of one costume for the lead character Nora in the 1879 play A Dolls House by Henrick Ibsen. I also develop designs and background for all other characters in the play. I chose this work for a number of reasons:

• Interesting geographical area(Scandanavia)

• Turning point for the portrayal of women in theatre
